Q: Dhav, welcome to WeBuild-AI! What inspired you to take on this role?
A: Thank you! What really captured my attention was WeBuild-AI's innovative approach to AI consulting and their vision for transforming traditional business functions. The finance sector is ripe for disruption, and I've watched many consulting firms approach this challenge with outdated methodologies. WeBuild-AI's AI-native approach, particularly through their Pathway platform, represents a fundamental shift in how we can reimagine financial operations and deliver value to customers.
Q: How do you see AI reshaping finance, and how does WeBuild-AI fit into this transformation?
A: The intersection of AI and finance is incredibly exciting right now. We're moving beyond basic automation into a realm where AI can provide predictive insights, optimise complex financial decisions, and transform how organisations manage their resources. What sets WeBuild-AI apart is our Pathway platform – it's not just another tool, it's a comprehensive AI launchpad that enables organisations to build and scale AI solutions across their finance function. I'm particularly excited about helping our clients leverage Pathway to modernise their financial operations and create more data-driven, proactive finance teams.
Personally, I am excited about the use of agents to build an AI native finance function that underpins the performance and operations of the business. When Mark and Ben explained their intent to be deliberate about leveraging AI to power the business, I knew this was going to be an exciting opportunity and one I felt I could own with the support and guidance of some truly great engineers in a collaborative environment,
Q: Could you elaborate on your vision for WeBuild-AI's internal finance function?
A: Let me share a practical example of how we're transforming our financial operations. We're building what we call our Financial Intelligence Hub using Pathway, which makes complex financial analysis as simple as having a conversation. Imagine just asking, "How is our Q1 performing against targets?" and instantly receiving not only the numbers, but AI-generated insights that tell the complete story behind those figures.
What excites me most is how this transforms everyday financial tasks. Our finance team can have natural conversations with our AI tools – asking questions like "What's driving our costs this quarter?" or "How might our cash flow look next quarter based on current trends?" The AI immediately analyses the data and provides clear visualisations and insights in plain English that anyone can understand.

Q: What excites you most about Pathway's potential impact on financial operations?
A: What's truly exciting about Pathway is its ability to democratise advanced AI capabilities. We're not just offering point solutions; we're providing a platform that enables organisations to build and scale AI-powered financial solutions across their entire operation. Whether it's automated financial forecasting, intelligent risk assessment, or real-time financial analytics, Pathway will provide the foundation for true financial transformation. The multi-cloud architecture ensures flexibility and scalability, which is crucial for enterprise-level financial operations.
The most enlightening aspect of this team is that they are truly multi-dimensional. I’ve been really impressed by their adaptability and pragmatism with clients to build custom solutions at speed. To often I’ve seen consultancies push vendor systems because of incentives for resale from partnerships. Then spend years configuring and implementing the solution. I’ve been on the receiving end of that treatment before and it was not enjoyable! The team at WeBuild-AI have already built custom software with AI agents and Co-Pilots for really thorny business issues on AWS and Azure. That ability to dissect a business challenge and translate it into a working, production ready solution in 5-days for one of our customers just blew me away. Their method and approach to apply a product mindset whilst maximising the output of AI tooling is really impressive.

Q: How do you see your role contributing to WeBuild-AI's growth and client success?
A: My role goes beyond traditional CFO responsibilities. As an advisor, I'll be working closely with our team and clients to help them envision and implement AI-driven financial transformation. Having spent years in financial leadership positions, I understand the challenges and opportunities that AI presents to finance teams. This perspective, combined with WeBuild-AI's technical expertise and Pathway platform, puts us in a unique position to help organisations not just modernise their finance functions, but fundamentally reimagine them for the AI era.
Q: What would you say to finance leaders who are considering AI transformation?
A: The time for incremental changes in finance has passed. AI isn't just another tool in the finance toolkit – it's a fundamental shift in how we approach financial operations and decision-making. My advice would be to think boldly about transformation while remaining pragmatic about implementation. This is where WeBuild-AI's approach really shines. We combine visionary thinking with practical execution, supported by our Pathway platform and our Pathfinder transformation framework, to help organisations achieve meaningful results quickly and scale their AI initiatives effectively.
